Allergies Go Away! Please?

I don’t know about most of you, but I have really bad allergies. I have an inhaler that I use WAY too many times throughout the day and I take over-the-counter allergy meds for a stuffy/runny nose. It probably doesn’t help that we have a cat. But there is no way that I can get rid of her..she’s just way too freakin’ cute.

Anyway, we have purchased two air purifiers for the house. One is a small Holmes HEPA-Type. Every month or so, we will have to buy a replacement filter to make sure that the air is circulating through and actually getting the “germs” out of the air. We use the small purifier in the bedroom. That was the first one that we bought and it seems to work pretty well, seeing as though I was using my inhaler about half as much throughout the night and some nights I wasn’t even waking up needing to use it. About a month later, we decided we needed one for the living room. We got a Ionic Pro, which doesn’t require a filter to be replaced. All it needs is its weekly cleaning on the outside and then monthly the collection blades need to be taken out and rinsed off.

When we went to my parent’s house for Christmas, we took the small Holmes HEPA-type purifier. My mom smokes cigarettes, and I must say, you really can’t smell the smoke when you walk into the house because she keeps the house completely clean and spotless. When we left our house to go there, I could tell that it had been used. But it was amazing, when we got back to our house, I checked the filter to see how it was. Completely brown! (Which is NOT on the reference colors to see when you need to replace it..it goes from white – light gray – gray – dark gray)

To say the least, it works. It really truly works. If I had the extra money, I would buy one of these for every room in my house!
