  1. Upcoming Plans

    May 16, 2012 by Kelly

Hopefully someone has been enjoying my pictures since I’ve been loving putting them up daily. They are kind of all over the place and from over the past few years so it’s fun to go back through my pictures and relive some memories.

Over the last month or so I was camera-less. Well, I had my point and shoot (which I love dearly) and my iphone (which I don’t love the pictures from that..obviously), but my super fantastic Canon 7D was missing! I searched the house up and down. We searched the cars. I asked my friends to look in their cars. No luck. But then…I decided to fold the socks one day instead of leaving them in the basket that they were in and what do you know, my camera was found. Lesson learned: I won’t let the clean socks just sit around anymore.

    On to happier things…

Jeff’s family will be coming into town later this week and I’ll be able to overload on taking pictures!! Disney, SeaWorld, beach…who knows what else. I can’t wait!

Oh and you know what else I can’t wait for…we leave for New York in 40 days! I get to spend my birthday in a place Jeff nor I have been to before!! I booked our flights back in March and just earlier this week our room was booked. Now, if we could just figure out what we’ll be doing while we’re there. Any “can’t miss” spots in the city?

I’m really happy that we’ll be in a new place that I can get picture crazy!

I hope you’re ready for New York picture overload come July ;)

Something else I REALLY REALLY REALLY need to start getting a focus on is something I started a long time ago. Photog Help Blog. I have posts written on paper somewhere around here..maybe I should check the sock drawer?

  2. Tommy Turned 30!

    January 4, 2010 by Kelly

December took November over so quickly that I never had a chance to post anything about our friend, Tommy, turning 30. He’s old now. Ok, maybe not. But it’s fun to tell people they are old.

Here are some fun pictures of what went down that evening… and no, not much craziness!

  3. Quarter Life Party!

    July 28, 2009 by Kelly

Check out the pictures section for more on Jeff’s birthday party!

Saturday, July 25, 2009 was named T.U.O.T.Y. by Ross. (‘Tweet Up Of The Year’) Though it really wasn’t a tweet up per se, more of a group of friends, that just happened to be some people we’ve met off of twitter, that came by to celebrate Jeff’s birthday.

Jeff is now 25 and he got to bring in this new age with some really great friends.

Everyone started rolling in around 1. We ate some food, drank some beer, and played some Rock Band. Oh and Jenn, Daphne and I were killed in Flip Cup on the first round. Second round, not so much. We beat them so bad! First flip for each of us. :)

After lunch, everyone sang Happy Birthday and then we all dug into the wonderful red velvet cake that Pam made and also the cheeseburger cupcakes that Daphne brought with her! Both were a very special treat!

We all watched the kids play some video games while Jeff and Ross tried to beat them at Mario Kart and watched a movie, then Jeff started getting antsy for dinner. He, of course, wanted steak! Natalie went to the store and bought ALL of us steaks! Massive steaks!

Then it was time for MORE dessert. Thanks to Tommy and Ashley for supplying Jeremiah’s Italian Ice!! It was a great ending to a great day. Until Ross broke a chair….. :)

Thanks to EVERYONE that came out: Ross, Natalie and kids (Timmy, Ray & William), Geoff, Jen, Rowan, Pam, Christine, Tommy, Justin, Jenn, Daphne, Etan, Kyle, Autumn, Dan and kids, T, Amanda & Heather.

And a very special thank you to my mom for helping me out all week long and my dad for helping out the weekend before in the yard and also when he came on Friday!

Jeff had a WONDERFUL birthday and hope to do it again next year!

  4. 1 day to go!

    July 21, 2009 by Kelly

Jeff’s birthday is on Saturday. And we are having people over to the house, FINALLY! So this will be doubling as our house warming party. :)

Here’s what I have left to do before people show up on Saturday at 1:
17 loads of laundry - DONE
Clean the house from TOP to bottom – DONE
Get more pictures hung up – a little more to go
Clean off the memory cards for all the cameras because I will be taking a CRAP ton of pictures – clean cards a go!
Give the cat a tranquilizer so she doesn’t freak out when people show (ok I won’t be doing that.)
Figure out how many people are coming (so RSVP people!!) – have a general idea
Find recipes that are easy enough to make – making way on the food
Grocery shop (after people RSVP, see how this works out..) – doing that in about a hour..
    Wrap Jeff’s gifts – soon!
Get other shopping done – DONE

All of this while running day-to-day life, ie. working and trying to find more work.

Oh and I MUST get my car aligned this week as well. Sigh. – Taking car today!!!!

  5. How We Celebrate!

    July 1, 2009 by Kelly

The weekend before my birthday, Jeff and I met my parents in Palm Coast. My mom never gave us the address to where we were staying, just kept saying “either a Microtel or someplace like that”. We drove there, called for directions and we pulled into this place that had restaurants and shops. After walking in and being told to “Hurry up!” by my parents, because “a maid let us look at a room for a few minutes, so we need to be quick.” I started to think to myself, “What in the world is going on and WHERE is the toilet?!”

Walked into the room and saw lots of streamers and a balloon! We were fooled! My parents had rented this nice condo for the weekend, with these wonderful beds, a flat screen tv and a kitchen!

After it sank in, I started realizing that I was sweating like crazy. Why? Because the air conditioner wasn’t working!

Two hours, a few phone calls to the owner and a walk around the area, the a/c guy finally came out to tell us that there was nothing he could do until MONDAY! (Remember..this was Friday!) Mom confirmed with the owners that we were going to get everything cleaned up and looking exactly how it was and that we would be staying else where. So we then got a room and went to dinner at a wonderful place in Palm Coast called Bourbon Street Bar and Grille.

Saturday rolls around and we head to St. Augustine for the day. On the way there we passed through the intersection where our accident took place five and a half years ago. I had a little mental breakdown and then I was fine. I hadn’t seen where it happened since that night, so it was a little shocking and lots of memories came flooding back.

Mom, Dad, Jeff and I had a WONDERFUL lunch at the Spanish Bakery right off of St. George Street. It was THE reason I wanted to go into St. Augustine! That made my entire weekend and I’m already wanting to go back and enjoy more lovely food from there.

Saturday night, Mom and I did some shopping and then we all went out to dinner.. Dad however realized that he had left his credit card somewhere. THANKFULLY it was traced back to the restaurant we ate at on Friday and they still had it.

Sunday we went out for breakfast, after we found Dad’s keys (which he left sitting in the hotel room when we checked out!), plus we then spent 20 minutes looking for the Denny’s that was RIGHT across the street from the hotel! After breakfast/lunch, we went to the beach to get some pictures!

No less than craziness happens when my family goes some place. And the weekend before my birthday was no let down! That weekend made me realize all over again how much I love my parents and how thankful I am to have them and spend time with them. (The craziness is just an added bonus!)

Thanks Mom and Dad!! (aka Whodi and Father Unit!!)
