This past week has been packed! The Florida Film Festival has been playing all kinds at 3 different locations – Enzian, Winter Park Regal and Plaza Theater in dowtown Orlando.
So far, I have gotten the chance to see the Animated Shorts and Shorts #2: Burn. In both shows three of the directors were in attendance. It’s not often when I go see a movie that the director is there. To be able to watch a movie, get emotional over it and then walk up to the director (who was sitting just one row in front of me) and tell her how wonderful her film is – that’s quite an experience.
Some of my favorites that I’ve seen:
-Animated Shorts:
Pigeon Impossible (by Lucas Martell)
The Mouse That Soared (by Kyle T. Bell)
The Cow Who Wanted To Be A Hamburger (by Bill Plympton)
Tales of Mere Existence (by Lev Yilmaz)
#circlepic (by Bryan Brinkman)
-Shorts #2: Burn:
My Mom Smokes Weed (by Clay Liford)
Touch (by Jen McGowan)
On the Road to Tel Aviv (by Khen Shalem)
Don’t worry! If you haven’t had a chance to see any films yet, you have two days left before the festival ends. Make sure to spend your weekend seeing some of these awesome films. Seriously!
Tonight is the big Revel 19 party on the Full Sail back lot! I’m happy to say that I’ll be there taking pictures!! This is one of the first times I’ll have been at Full Sail since graduating almost 6 years ago (ah!) The back lot is completely new (to me) and is almost right outside where I used to take my breaks.
