  1. Baking Bread

    May 18, 2012 by Kelly

The Spanish Bakery in St. Augustine, FL is one of my favorite places to eat…ever! It’s somewhat of my own tradition to go there when we are in the area. And sometimes I will drag people to St. Augustine just to go here :)

  2. Juno Rocket Launch

    May 8, 2012 by Kelly

I was one of a small group of people that was about to go to Kennedy Space Center last August and see the Juno rocket launch. It was a great experience and since I never posted any of the pictures…here’s one :)

  3. Cheetah Hunt – Busch Gardens

    May 30, 2011 by Kelly

Blogging allows me to post the pictures that I want to and the feelings that I want to (here and over at LivingTheBefore.com)

It’s just a bonus that I get invited to some awesome events.

And let me tell you what, Busch Gardens letting us bloggers/twitter users come to full on media events (TONS of radio tents set up) is AMAZING.

After we checked in we got our own escort to take us to each of the interviews and to show us around. Craziness.

Anyway, the ride is fantastic. It is a TON of fun and quite fast, yet tame. As in, I think my mom would even like this ride, but roller coaster enthusiast would also love this ride.

Here’s some facts that you’ll see while waiting in the queue line.

And let me just say, before you watch the video, I am so awkward. And putting me in front of a camera is even worse. I obnoxiously nod my head at everything and chime in too much. Seriously..what is wrong with me?? :)

The ride itself is super smooth and I have to say I think my favorite part is when we were “pretending to be a cheetah” (per my quote from the video..)

If you’ve had the opportunity to ride Cheetah Hunt, let me know what you thought. And if you haven’t, does my screaming and laughing my head off make you want to go ride this any sooner?? :)

  4. Maryellen Hooper

    January 4, 2011 by Kelly

Jeff works with some really great people. And one of them is married to a comedian. A very funny comedian. One that has been on tv shows and toured with some awesome people. Her name… Maryellen Hooper. Her blog… Stinky Flowers. A lot of her jokes are about family life and her kids (who knew kid jokes could be THAT funny!)

Like I told her the first night, she was one of the few, if only, comedian that we’ve seen get continuous laughs. It just doesn’t happen often.

But anyway.. before that I was asked by Maryellen to bring my camera to the show to get some pictures <which of course I don’t like being WITHOUT my camera, so I said yes!> So here I was walking about the Improv like I owned the place. People were moving out of my way so I could get pictures..”well okay then, if you insist.”

So without further ado and no more rambling.. some of the pictures I took.

Time to change outfits…. or days…

You can find Maryellen at the sites posted above and also on twitter!

The rest of the pictures can be found on my flickr page.

  5. SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration

    December 16, 2010 by Kelly

Theme parks. Holidays. Family. They all make me happy. It’s true.

I had seen every other park at Christmas for the holidays except for SeaWorld. That is not the case anymore!!

I’m sooo glad I made this comment on Twitter because, volia! Tickets appeared! So this past Saturday, my parents, Jeff and I spent the day walking around and looking at all the fantastic lights and shows.

We took a million pictures in front of the tree and the HUGE snowman.

Then we hit up Manta. It was the first time my dad had ever done it. And my mom…well…she held everything. From the sound of my dad screaming “THIS IS AWESOME!”, I’m pretty sure he liked it. A lot.

We stood around watching penguins for quite a while. They are funny little things, without even trying. Their waddling makes me laugh. And then when they dive into the water, even better!

Since we were still waiting for the lights to come on and the holiday shows to start, we stopped in to see the seals, Kraken, Shark Encounter, A’lure and rode the Polar Express. All were delightful!

After downing a hot chocolate and bundling up, we headed over to see Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas. I love the silly humor of this show normally and the Christmas version wasn’t a let down. So funny! And the I-4 joke… AWESOME!

We then high tailed it back to the other side of the park to see the Sea of Trees. Phenomenal!

After a refill on the hot chocolate, we got our seats for Shamu Christmas – Miracles. And what a miracle it was.

SeaWorld provided Christmas carols to be sung. Boy did my parents take advantage of this (see the video for the true fun that was had! *video coming soon*)

After a few songs.. the show started!!

I found this guy hanging out by the elf workshop – I hope he was telling them what to bring me!

Merry Christmas from SeaWorld and myself! You should definitely go check out this celebration!! You’ll thank yourself! I don’t know what kept me from this event for so long! You have until January 2nd, 2011 to see this fantastic display of lights and Christmas shows.

Thanks again to SeaWorld for the tickets!
